Our Story
A Legacy of Artistry. A Future of Expression.
BEGINING OUR $)TH YEAR! Established in 1987, The Dance Arts Studio has served the Syracuse community for over 39 years as a sanctuary for students who want to learn the art of dance without the pressure of the competition circuit.
From the beginning, our philosophy has been simple but profound. "Dance to Express, Not Impress."
We believe arts education should be more than just trophies and scores. It should be about healthy technique, individual growth, and the confidence that comes from mastering a discipline. Whether a student is three years old or eighty-three, our goal is to provide a professional, nurturing environment where they feel safe to explore their potential.
Today, we are begining to write the next chapter of our story. While we remain rooted in our classical dance foundations by offering Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Modern; we are proud to expand our curriculum to become a true Center for Performing Arts.
Starting in January 2027, With the addition of our specialized Vocal Conservatory, including Private Voice Lessons, we will be training the complete artist. We are a boutique studio where every name is known, every goal is supported, and every student is given the spotlight they deserve.

Artistic Director, Founder & Director of Dance
Discover a place where dancers of every age can build confidence, strengthen technique,
and develop a lasting love of movement under the guidance of Linda Facciponte.
Linda brings exceptional academic preparation to every class. She earned Master’s degrees in dance education through the Arts and Elementary Education from New York University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children with an emphasis on dance. She also holds permanent New York State certifications in Elementary Education (nursery–grade 6) and Dance Education (K–12).
Her students benefit from a rich professional foundation. At SUNY Brockport, where Linda studied with Garth Fagan, founder and artistic director of Garth Fagan Dance and choreographer of the Broadway musical The Lion King.
Her extensive training in the Cunningham, Horton, Graham, and José Limón techniques gives dancers the opportunity to explore diverse styles while developing strong fundamentals.
Linda has created and taught dance programs in New Orleans, Jacksonville, Rochester, Syracuse, and New York City. In addition to leading the studio as artistic director, she was an adjunct professor at Le Moyne College and served as a dance teaching artist with the Institute for Aesthetic Education.
Her experience also includes directing dance for “Summer Fame” and serving as a guest choreographer for the Gifford Family Theatre.
At Linda’s studio, high-quality instruction is paired with a warm, nurturing approach. Students are encouraged to grow as dancers and individuals in an environment that values personal development and spiritual well-being. Whether a student dances for joy, prepares for college, or dreams of a professional career, Linda offers thoughtful guidance to help each dancer take the next step with confidence.
As well as the Owner/Artistic Director of the studio, Linda is currently The Dance Teacher at Manlius Pebble Hill School.
